Just stumbled on this & hadn't heard about it before - a film coming out on my favorite living writer - Harlan Ellison - called "Dreams with Sharp Teeth"
If you aren't familar with his work I can't recommend it highly enough, especially his short stories such as ""Repent, Harlequin!" Said the Ticktockman", "A Boy and His Dog", "I have no Mouth and I Must Scream", "Jefty is Five" and "Mephisto In Onyx". They are visceral, highly literate & utterly unforgettable.
I discovered his books in my early teens and he had a huge influence on early Liz. (I even flew cross country to Phoenix when I was 17 to see him at a Science Fiction con where he was Guest if Honor, hmmm first time I did something like that!) I'm fortunate to have been able to hear him speak a number of times, he tells the most amazing stories & could keep you breathlessly waiting on his next word even if he was just reading his grocery list.
