there is a light that never goes out.....

kisarazumama & I roadtripped down to Richmond and caught Morrissey at the National Theater - GREAT show! Had an excellent lunch at the new Gibson Grill adjacent to the theater (eating there also gets you into the venue 15 mins early and you can wait inside rather than outside in the cold and rain!) where I ran into several folks I'd met at previous Moz shows (Norfolk & Oklahoma City!)

Opening were Red Cortez - had never heard of them before but they were surprisingly good, reminded me of early Boy/War era U2

And of course Moz was brilliant as ever, so glad things were going well as he'd cancelled a bunch of the early shows on this tour so this was only the 3rd so far but it went well & he sounded great- set list was:

This Charming Man
Something is Squeezing My Skull
Black Cloud
Billy Budd
How Soon Is Now?
All You Need Is Me
How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel
Mama Lay Softly On The Riverbed
Seasick, Yet Still Docked
Let Me Kiss You
Best Friend on the Payroll
One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell
The Loop (with upright bass!)
Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself
The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores
I Keep Mine Hidden
Sorry Doesn't Help
Death of a Disco Dancer
I'm OK By Myself

Irish Blood, English Heart

Managed to drive home afterwards....now to crash & get up & do it again tomorrow as he'd playing the Warner Theater here in DC :)
