The weather yesterday was just perfect and as it was only about 80 degrees and slightly overcast (which is nearly unheard of for July!) and as I had the day off from work I decided it would be a perfect day to head to the zoo, so kisarazumama and I took the metro down and had a wonderful day wandering around.
I finally got a chance to play with my 70-200mm lens and got some nice shots of the animals. Also decided it would be a good idea to join the Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ) and as FONZ members get free parking I have a feeling I will be heading down there a lot more frequently! :) Plus they gave me a free stuffed panda :)
Some pix below the cut, more on my flickr -
