On Saturday I went down with kisarazumama to Chantilly to the National Capitol Cat Show at the Dulles Expo center and had fun taking photos of many beautiful cats and their adoring owners. It makes me happy to see how these folks truly love their kitties, and that the many rescues there who had booths with adoptable felines are trying to place them where they will be as loved.
Lots of pix on my flickr -
this little one-eyed kitten was at one of the rescues, she was such a little doll full of personality, I would have adopted her in a sec if I'd been able to take in another cat, I hope she will find her perfect home, it was easy to fall in love with her
you can see the feather lust in his eyes...
The judge was particularly taken with this Norwegian Forest cat with an exceptionally full coat who showed the old-fashioned breed type, it was great of him to give some explanation into why this was special, apparently when they were imported to the USA to be shown their coats would get greasy so they were bred for less hair and when one with such a long coat is bathed to get the hair grease out they become especially fluffy
