tired in Tulsa

Back in the hotel after tonight's Morrissey show at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa - a cool old place dating back from the 1930's with its own little stars of Walk of Fame" out front & framed pictres lining the walls of the famous old country stars who has played there way back. I was so excited to not only see Tiger Army opening for Moz but also knowing it would be the first time Morrissey played any of the songs from his forthcoming album live and the atmosphere was so charged due to so many die hard fans traveling from all over the country to make the first show.

Got in line early, met a zillion people only one of which ws actually FROM Oklahoma - it was funny because nearly everybody had traveled & I met fans from San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, NYC, Philly, texas...you name it! Pretty much as soon as 2 people in line started talking the next thing they'd say was "where are you from?"

So great to see Tiger Army opening - Nick seemed a bit nervous & talked more than usual for him, he definitely tailored the set list more towards what he thought the audience would respond to (after the show I had to tease him a bit that it was that rare Tiger Army show where they DIDN'T play "Fuck the World" and he said "well we thought about it" & gave me a big grin) - their set list:

Ghost Tigers Rise
Santa Carla Twilight
Cupid's Victim
Rose of the Devil's Garden
20 Flight Rock
Outlaw Heart
Through the Darkness
Valley of Dreams
Never Die

then after about 40 minutes Moz & Co took the stage, starting off with "You Have Killed me" from the forthcoming album. It was funny how "Ringerleader of the Tormentors" doesn't come out until april 8th & yet everybody in the place knew every word to the new songs already Morrissey even commented "some of you already have the new album? I don't mind".

Morrissey setlist:

You Have Killed Me
Still Ill
The Youngest Was The Most Loved
In The Future When All's Well
Irish Blood, English Heart
My Life Is A Succession Of People Saying Goodbye
Girlfriend In A Coma
I Have Forgiven Jesus
I Just Want To See The Boy Happy
Reader Meet Author
Life Is A Pigsty
Let Me Kiss You
Trouble Loves Me
How Soon Is Now?
First Of The Gang To Die
I Will See You In Far-off Places
At Last I Am Born

encore -
Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before

Freaking amazing show, can't wait for Oklahoma City tomorrow!!!
